The Bishop Ireton Cardinals Varsity lost the ballgame after losing the lead in the seventh inning Thursday, as St. John’s grabbed a 4-3 victory in seven innings at St. John’s College High School.
Robert Corallo was hot from the plate for the Bishop Ireton Cardinals Varsity. Robert went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.
Kyle Lefelar got the win for St. John’s. He allowed two runs over five innings. Kyle struck out two, walked three and gave up five hits.
Sean Workman was charged with the loss. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
In the bottom of the first, St. John’s grabbed the early lead, 2-0. St. John’s got things going when AJ Lee singled. A single by Adrian Peralta then moved AJ from first to second. Jackson Coviello singled, scoring AJ. More runs came home for St. John’s when Peralta scored on an error.

St. John’s pushed across one run in both the third inning and the fifth. In the third, St. John’s scored on an RBI single by Adrian, plating AJ.
