Daniel Noe scored 17 points, helping the Cardinals notch a 68-49 victory over St Mary’s Ryken on Wednesday.
Claiming a 35-22 lead at the half, the Cardinals pulled ahead early in the game, bolting to a 10-0 start. The Cardinals increased their lead late in the game, putting 21 points on the board in the fourth quarter on the strength of an 11-4 run.
Noe scored the most points for the Cardinals during the first period with eight. Sidekicks Patrick Moseh had 16 and Ty Quarles 15.
Also helping the effort for the Cardinals were Jeremiah Brooks (7 points, 1 rebound),Jamie Senft (6 points, 1 rebound), Michael Everett (3 points) and Chandler Wilder (2 points). Patrick Moseh was a big contributor as well, racking up 12 rebounds. The Cardinals finished the game with 25 rebounds (two offensive/23 defensive).
Senior Jarin Hilson led Ryken with 15 and Donte Etheridge had 14 for the Knights.
Ireton now stands 5-11 in WCAC, chasing St Mary’s for the 6th seed in the upcoming WCAC tourney. Ryken fell to 6-9 in the league.
