Junior forward Nicolas Ducceschi was named to the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association’s (VISAA) second team, all state team, the VISAA announced Friday.
Along with senior goalkeeper, Andrew Perham, Ducceschi was a first team, all WCAC performer for the Cardinals in the 2013 campaign. He notched a number of game-winning goals for the Cardinals during the fall and his play gained the notice of the state’s coaches.
“I am very proud of Nic.” said head coach, Jon Norem. “We had a couple of guys deserving of all state recognition, I am glad Nic was recognized, he certainly deserved it.”
State champions, St Stephens dominated the first team with four players and Cape Henry Collegiate’s Peter Pearson was named the DI player of the year.
