Cody Hagenston allowed just two runs on Tuesday at Frank Mann Field, but the Cardinals couldn’t get the offense going in a 4-0 defeat to St John’s Cadets.

Bishop Ireton was led bysenior Andrew Selby‘s hitting. Selby went 2-3, singling in the fourth inning and tripling in the sixth inning.

Pearson got the win for St John’s Cadets. He pitched five shutout innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered two hits.

St John’s Cadets didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the sixth inning when it scored on a fielder’s choice and increased the lead with two runs in the seventh. Peralta‘s double got things going, bringing home Lettridge.
