Bishop Ireton saw 6 boys and 3 girls among the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference’s all conference teams and honorably mentioned performers.
Junior guard Patrick Moseh, Ireton’s leading scorer, was selected by the conference’s coaches as a second team all league pick. Forward Dan Noe, also a junior, was named to the league’s third team. Seniors Louie Khouri and Da’von Wiley and juniors Taylor McHugh and Ty Quarles were honorable mentions.
The girls had a trio of seniors, all 4-year varsity players, listed among the Conference’s honorable mentioned athletes. Camille Weber, a guard, and forwards Mara Celis-Copelotti and Julia O’Brien were repeat awardees by the WCAC.
The boys’ player of the year and coach of the year honors were swept by the undefeated Eagles. Gonzaga’s senior Kris Jenkins was honored as the player of the year and Coach Steve Turner the coach of the year.
The girls honors were likewise a one school sweep with Lindsay Allen of St Johns winning the player of the year honors while her coach, Jonathan Scribner was named coach of the year. For a complete listing of all the honorees, visit the WCAC website at wcacsports.com.
