Parents and rowers descended on Anacostia Boathouse to clean the area in anticipation of a new season.
There is no other sign that spring is here more definite for the crew team than the spring cleaning at the Anacostia Community Boathouse!
Bishop Ireton rowers and parents help get the motor launches in the water and the docks cleaned up in anticipation of the beginning of water workouts starting on Monday. Rowers are ending the winter training drudgery and hitting the water in anticipation of their first regatta on March 19th. Plan on coming to see some races and soak in some sun as the team starts its optimistic season. The teams qualified a pair of boats last spring for the national championships in New York and look for similar results in 2011.
