The winter weather in North Carolina has postponed the start of the Chatlee Shootout in Sanford, NC by 24 hours the organizers announced on Sunday. The greater Raleigh area was hit with 5-7 inches of snow after Christmas and travel from Richmond to South Carolina was impacted by weather.
Bishop Ireton’s boys varsity basketball team (5-3) will open on Tuesday at 6pm with Hoke County High School and play through December 30th according to the tournament officials. The Cardinals have delayed their travel accordingly and will now depart northern Virginia on Tuesday morning.
Lee County High School, in Sanford, is the host institution and the venue for all the scheduled contests.
