A pair of graduating Bishop Ireton athletes will be heading to the bright lights of college athletics this fall as Danielle Hatchett and Stephanie Cabrera agreed to play at their future colleges recently.

Hatchett, a Cardinal basketball player, will head to Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park to play for Coach Jered Lyons and the WAU Shock.   Hatchett played three varsity basketball seasons for Bishop Ireton as a guard.  The Upper Marlboro, Maryland, resident will have a chance to make an immediate impact for the 6-21 Shock and plans to bring the same energy to her new team as she did the Cardinals. She is the daughter of Stacy Hatchett .

Stephanie Cabrera will head to Arlington to play volleyball for head coach Beth Ann Wilson and the Saints.  She joins sister, Ashley, and former Cardinal teammate, Emileigh Rettig, on a team that won a school-record 25 games last fall.
