The Bishop Ireton Cardinals get back to their winning ways on a beautiful day in Myrtle Beach with another shutout. This time the Lady Birds bounced the John Carroll High School Patriots by a score of 5-0.

The Cards made it happen with good defense, timely hitting, and excellent pitching. The Pats could do little at the plate as Erin Rockwell went the distance and held the Patriots to 3 hits (two of them coming in the seventh inning). Rockwell struck out 6 and issued a single walk in the seven inning game.

Molly Jeffers led the Redbirds on offense with 2 hits. Emma Klein and Clara Boggs each delivered 2 RBI’s. Angela Kammen and Sawyer Warren also logged hits for the Birds.

The stands were filled with supporters as the Ireton LAX team showed up for the game to cheer their school mates on!
