Bishop Ireton never gave Flint Hill a moment’s rest as they beat the visiting Huskies 16-9 on Saturday, April 5. The Cardinals handled Flint Hill with a tough scoring attack and tough defense.
Leading the Cardinals to victory, juniors Charlotte Sofield had four goals and four assists and Kelly Mathews had five goals and one assist, and senior Kendall Cunningham had three goals and one assist. Junior Kaitlin Luzik had two goals and one assist; junior Christine Macey had one goal and one assist; junior Natalie Irwin had one goal. Sophomores Maggie Lohrer had two assists and Kelly Larkin had one assist. Senior goalie Olivia Cole had eight saves.
This game closed out Bishop Ireton’s 10th Annual Lacrosse Day festivities.
Ireton prepares to run the gaunlet, facing second ranked Georgetown Visitation on Monday, third ranked Good Counsel, the defending WCAC champs on Tuesday, St Johns on Friday and one of Virginia’s top squads in Collegiate School of Richmond on Saturday.
