Led by a lopsided 121-45 victory by Coach John Gullickson’s talented women’s team, Bishop Ireton cruised by Pope John Paul the Great 216-119 Friday at the Marymount University pool in Arlington.
The men’s team rolled to a 95-74 victory on the night before the squad heads to Takoma Park for the League championships Saturday. The guys improved to 7-2 in dual meet action for the year, the gals to 8-1 on year.
Ireton’s divers led off the weekend of the Washington Metropolitan Prep School Swim and Dive League championships on Friday, the swimming, for men and women, begins on Saturday.
